A fire drill is a simulated emergency procedure, which is required, by legislation, at any premises where an evacuation procedure is in place, which is the vast majority of premises.
We have a dedicated member of staff, who is very experienced in undertaking drills in a variety of premises from shopping centres to large, multi-tenanted offices. The drill is conducted and observed, and a clear, concise report is produced, recording the findings of the evacuation, including recommendations for improvements and noted strengths. A debrief is provided to key staff immediately following the fire evacuation drill.
Drills can form the basis of an audit of the effectiveness of training received by staff. They also provide an invaluable insight into fire safety management in a mock emergency situation, as well as a test of the physical fire precautions, including the fire alarm system and fire exit doors.
