In 2021, we became silver partners with the award-winning charity, Trees for Life, to support their mission to rewild the Scottish Highlands. We have set up a grove of trees which will be planted by Trees for Life to create a beautiful, wild forest. Bare hillsides will be transformed into healthy young woodlands, rich in wildlife and protected for future generations.
To kickstart our grove, CSTA has planted a tree for every member of staff. Our company grove has a dedicated webpage which can be viewed using the following link C.S. Todd & Associates Ltd – Trees for Life
We are proud to be supporting Trees for Life and through the planting of new trees, we are mitigating our carbon surpluses, helping reduce the impact of climate change and supporting the UK to meet its net-zero target by 2050.
For over 25 years, Trees for Life have worked with volunteers to plant nearly two million trees to restore the Caledonian forest in the Highlands of Scotland, providing space for wildlife to flourish and communities to thrive.
Through its tree planting projects, Trees for Life provide an important habitat for wildlife – including red squirrel, pine marten, black grouse, otters, osprey and golden eagles – as well as enabling vital carbon capture from our environment.
Planting trees is a great way to sequester carbon and we will be partnering with Trees for Life to address our own carbon impact on the planet.
Tree planting also has many benefits beyond carbon sequestration. Our partnership with Trees for Life will not only help to rewild the Scottish Highlands. Restoration provides habitat, answering the urgent need to address biodiversity collapse. Tree planting also helps to reduce localised flooding and the Trees for Life volunteering programme helps people reconnect to nature, providing myriad benefits for their well-being.
