We offer a range of training courses including courses including course on fire risk assessment listed below.

In addition, we can provide bespoke training course, for example, we currently train newly appointed inspecting officers of the fire and rescue service in Scotland, involving a tailor made eight week training course that we developed, under a contract with Scottish Government. The eight week training course is accreditated by the Scottish Police College, which has third party credit rating status for the purpose of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

We also regularly deliver training sessions to fire and rescue service staff elsewhere in the UK.
In response to requests from delegates, we have expanded our public courses from 3.5 days to 4.5 days so that we can ensure that all delegates have a basic understanding of the principles of fire safety and fire protection measures.  In respect of fire risk assessment, the overall structure and content of the course remains unchanged from the 3.5 day course (see below).

This IFE-approved 3.5 day course has been developed for delegates who do not have a background in fire safety. It is therefore a useful starting point to the basic principles of fire safety.  Topics covered include the principles of means of escape and fire alarm systems. It is delivered over 3.5 days and includes an examination on the fourth day.  Generally, delegates would undertake this course and undertake the fire risk assessment course at a later date.

We sometimes combine the Level 1 course with the standard fire risk assessment course, making a comprehensive five day course. This is a relatively intensive five day course, with two course examinations on a further (sixth) day. Please contact us for further details about delivering these courses in-house.
